As rare earth resources are indispensable raw materials for modern society, they have become strategic global reserve resources. Even though China is the world’s largest producer and exporter of rare earth, the industry has low efficiency and severe problems with over-exploitation and environmental pollution; therefore, there needs to be a greater focus on the sustainable exploitation of rare earth resources. This paper establishes an innovative evaluation index system for the sustainable development of China’s rare earth resources from six main aspects; economic development, social progress, environmental protection, technological innovation, rare earth development and utilization, and rare earth protection in which the indicators are assessed using an entropy method. Grey correlation analysis was used to evaluate China’s rare earth sustainable development level from 2006–2016, from which it was found that sustainable development was poor from 2006–2010 and marginally better from 2011–2016. The main factor affecting rare earth sustainable development in China was found to be the lag in the development of environment protection system and rare earth protection system. Policy recommendations for improving China’s rare earth protection, environmental protection, and technological innovation are proposed to guide government regulations and assist rare earth industry personnel.
Civilization prospers when the ecology prospers, and civilization decays when the ecology decays. As an effective indicator of sustainable development of economy and resource environment, environmental performance can comprehensively reflect the actual level of coordinated development of the economy and environment system. This paper exemplifies China’s Optics Valley to evaluate its environmental performances and research the influencing factors of new fixed assets investment projects, for which a new fixed assets investment project environmental performance assessment system was constructed. The measurement model for the system was constructed using a generalized data envelopment analysis (DEA) with undesirable output to evaluate the environmental performances of the new fixed assets investment projects in China’s Optical Valley from 2011 to 2016. The multi-regression model with eight environmental performance hypotheses was established to determine the key influencing factors and to propose targeted countermeasures to enhance low-carbon innovation and promote low-carbon economic development. The results indicated that implementing new fixed assets investment project energy conservation assessments and reviews in high-tech areas could assist companies and the government in achieving better management.
This study investigates the associations among member ability, member relationships, knowledge sharing, and innovation performance in eSports industry knowledge alliance. A survey strategy and purposive sampling were applied, and the analysis was conducted on a sample of 311 senior managers from the China eSports Association. The hypotheses were tested using SPSS 24.0 software and AMOS 24.0 software. This study shows that member ability and member relationships have both a direct and indirect effect on innovation performance. Firstly, member ability, member relationships, and member knowledge sharing significantly impact the innovation performance of eSports industry knowledge alliances. Secondly, member knowledge sharing plays a mediating role in the effect of member ability and membership relationship on innovation performance. This pioneering article explores the interaction mechanisms between member ability, member relationships, and innovation performance in eSports industry knowledge alliance. The research results are conducive to the development of the eSports industry toward deep integration and sustainable development and provide a reference for similar knowledge-intensive enterprise alliance behaviors.

The ecological problems brought by the rapid development of the economy and society have threatened humanity’s sustainable development. As the world’s largest carbon emitter, China is still at a critical stage of industrialization, and it is urgent to solve the problem of how to realize the low-carbon circular development of the economy. This paper constructed the evaluation index system of regional low carbon development from the three dimensions of development, low carbon, and ecology. Based on the entropy weight-TOPSIS model, the index was quantitatively analyzed with the data of 30 provinces in China in 2018. According to the measurement results, 30 provinces, were clustered into low-carbon development zones, relatively low-carbon development zones, relatively high-carbon development zones, and high-carbon development zones according to the low-carbon ecological development level. The results show that China’s overall low-carbon economic development level is not high in 2018, with the south being superior to the north, and the eastern coastal areas of Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shandong, and Zhejiang being significantly prime to other regions. Finally, suggestions are given for different types of low-carbon development areas.
