Dr. Abu Zayed Md Badruddoza is a Senior Principal Scientist at Pfizer Inc. Before joining Pfizer Inc., he was a Research Assistant Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University from February 2018 to June 2020 and a Senior Scientist at TCG GreenChem Inc. from May 2019 to June 2020. He obtained his B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in 2004 and his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the National University of Singapore in 2012. He is also pursuing an MBA at the University of Rhode Island, which will be finished in 2025. His research focus is soft matter, pharmaceutical engineering, product formulation and process development, and emulsions. He has technical leadership in various product formulation designs and process development, including solid and semisolid dosage, structure-properties-function relationship studies, API crystallization techniques, development of complex technologies and drug delivery, and has experience in all phases of pharmaceutical development, including formulation/process design, manufacturing, process scale-up, clinical support, regulatory requirements, IP strategy, due diligence, and business landscape.
