Alessandro Ciocia (M'14) received the M.Sc. degree in 2012 and the Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering in 2017 from Politecnico di Torino (PdT) University, Turin, Italy. He is currently working as a Research Fellow with Energy Department, PdT. His research activities include the design and the simulation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, the current-voltage curve tracing, and the identification of defects in PV modules by electroluminescence tests. His research interests include also the optimal sizing of PV generators and the effects of high penetration of renewable sources in the electric grid.
