Mauricio Almeida Noernberg is a full professor at the Center for Marine Studies of the Federal University of Paraná (Brazil). He received his B.S. in Oceanology from the University of Rio Grande (FURG), his M.Sc. in Remote Sensing from the National Institute for Space Research (INPE), and his Ph.D. in Environmental Geology from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR). His research interests are remote sensing, bio-optics algorithms, coastal process, hydrodynamic modeling, land-sea interaction, and environmental monitoring.
