Dr. Rut Valdor is a researcher in the faculty of medicine at the University of Murcia in Murcia, Spain, and a senior researcher at the Biomedical Research Institute of Murcia (IMIB), Palmar, Spain. Heterogenous thematic in the area of biomedicine for more than 15 years, she has been clearly oriented to molecular immunology since her Ph.D. studies at the University of Murcia in Murcia, Spain. Her post-doctoral training was in autophagy, aging, and immune tolerance response topics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, USA. Currently, she continues working with her research group on the molecular mechanisms related to autophagy and the immune responses that underlay the perivascular microenvironment in different pathologies such as aging diseases and cancer.
