Dr. Cosmin Cosma is a scientific researcher in additive manufacturing (AM) at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania. In 2015, he completed his PhD thesis entitled "Research on Improving the Manufacturing of Titanium Medical Implants by Selective Laser Melting." He has over 15 years of experience in metal additive manufacturing and is recognized as an expert in laser-based powder bed fusion (PBF-LB/M), the development of customized medical implants, dental prosthetics, and biomaterials. Dr. Cosma has authored more than 50 scientific publications in these fields, including 22 papers indexed in the Web of Science (WoS). His expertise in AM technologies—particularly in the optimization of the PBF-LB/M process—has positioned him as a key contributor to 10 national and European research projects aimed at advancing additive manufacturing processes and design for the competitive production of personalized components.
