Florin Ioan Bode is Professor of Fluid Mechanics at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and Director of the AtFlow Research Center for Complex Flows and Heat Transfer. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering in 2004, obtained his MSc in 2005 and his PhD in 2010 from the same university, and completed postdoctoral studies at the Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest (2011–2013). His teaching and research focus on thermal engineering, energy efficiency, fluid dynamics, numerical simulation of turbulent flows and fires, indoor environmental quality, and personalized ventilation in buildings and vehicles. He has authored more than 160 scientific papers, including over 40 Web of Science articles and several books, and has coordinated or contributed to numerous national and European research projects with academia and industry. Prof. Bode serves as reviewer and guest editor for more than 30 high-impact journals and is a member of several professional societies, including IAQVEC, ASHRAE, ISIAQ and national thermal engineering and building services associations.
