Dr. Marco Petrillo is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Sassari. He received his MD from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in 2008. He completed his residency in gynecology and obstetrics at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in 2014 and obtained his Ph.D. in Gender Medicine in 2018. He has worked for around 15 years in the field of gynecologic oncology and has published more than 100 articles. His research is focused on endoscopy in ovarian cancer contributing to develop the well-known Fagotti-modified laparoscopic score for the prediction of cytoreduction in women with advanced disease. He presented the final data of the study at the plenary session of the 2015 SGO congress. He also focused his attention on HPV-vaccine strategies and the biological characterization of gynecological malignancies.
