Biography
Research Associate at the Kidney Research Centre / CHEO Research Institute (Ottawa, Canada). PhD in Biosystems (cardiovascular immunology) from the Federal University of ABC (Brazil). Postdoctoral training (UOttawa and Ottawa Hospital Research Institute) involved animal studies of hypertension, ACE2 therapeutics, cardiovascular diseases, diabetic kidney disease, and SGLT2i. Currently investigating possible ways of decreasing the cortisol burden on patients with Idiopathic Nephrotic Syndrome. Particularly focused on mitochondria biology and extracellular vesicles.
