CNR IAS senior research scientist in physical oceanography with a PhD in Environmental Science at “Ca’ Foscari” University (Venice), he is a key expert in ocean modelling based on the finite elements method. His research activities are mainly focused on developing novel approaches to compute the transport time scales of pollutants in semi-enclosed basins and coastal seas. Applied research includes the implementation of operational forecasting systems to provide real-time short-term oceanographic prediction in coastal areas.
