Rural traffic network (RTN), as a complex network, plays a significant role in the field of resisting natural disasters and emergencies. In this paper, we analyze the vulnerability of RTN via three traffic network models (i.e., No-power Traffic Network Model (NTNM), Distance Weight Traffic Network Model (DWTNM), and Road Level Weight Traffic Network Model (RLWTNM)). Firstly, based on the complex network theory, RTN is constructed by using road mapping method, according to the topological features. Secondly, Random Attack (RA) and Deliberate Attack (DA) strategies are used to analyze network vulnerability in three rural traffic network models. By analyzing the attack tolerance of RTN under the condition of different attack patterns, we find that the road level weight traffic network has a good performance to represent the vulnerability of RTN.

Soil moisture is one of the most critical elements of the Earth system and is essential for the study of the terrestrial water cycle, ecological processes, climate change, and disaster warnings. In this study, the training sample was selected to divide the dataset according to months from 2000 to 2018 after the advantages of three training samples were compared using a backpropagation (BP) neural network model. Furthermore, the monthly surface soil moisture in China in 2019 and 2020 was simulated based on various meteorological elements. The results demonstrate that evapotranspiration has the greatest influence on soil moisture among the various meteorological factors, followed by precipitation on a national scale throughout the year. Additionally, the accuracy of the training and simulation results with BP neural networks in the national winter months is slightly worse. In the future, the training samples of the BP neural network can be optimized following the differences in the dominant influence of various meteorological factors on soil moisture in different areas at different times to improve the simulation prediction accuracy.

Road traffic network (RTN) structure plays an important role in the field of complex network analysis. In this paper, we propose a regional patch detection method from RTN via community detection of complex network. Firstly, the refined Adapted PageRank algorithm, which combines with the influence factors of the location property weight, the geographic distance weight and the road level weight, is used to calculate the candidate ranking results of key nodes in the RTN. Secondly, the ranking result and the shortest path distance as two significant impact factors are used to select the key points of the RTN, and then the Adapted K-Means algorithm is applied to regional patch detection of the RTN. Finally, based on the experimental data of Zhangwu road traffic network, the analysis results are as follows: Zhangwu is divided into 9 functional structures with key node locations as the core. Regional patch structure is divided according to key points, and the RTN is actually divided into nine small functional communities. Nine functional regional patches constitute a new network structure, maintaining connectivity between the regional patches can improve the overall efficiency of the RTN.

The rapid urbanization process has led to many prominent environmental issues in urban areas, resulting from a drastic change in land use. The Urban Heat Island (UHI) effect is of particular concern because it has a significant impact on the livability of cities. Therefore, exploring and studying the intensity of UHI and its future distribution have significant practical implications. In this study, the CNN-LSTM-Attention model was constructed to predict four remote sensing spectral indices, and combined with the CA-Markov model to predict land use change. The relationship between four different spectral indices and the intensity of UHI was analyzed by a multiple linear regression model (R 2 = 0.7468, RMSE = 0.0546), and the UHI intensity and distribution in 2025 were predicted and analyzed. The results show that by 2025, the proportion of built-up area will continue to increase by 1.37 percentage points, which will lead to a more intense and concentrated UHI effect, and the proportion of heat island area will increase by 2.97 percentage points. The study shows that increasing vegetation area and water area can effectively alleviate the impact of UHI. Local government departments formulate reasonable policies based on survey results, reduce over-radiation, improve urban livability, and promote sustainable development.

Identifying the aggregation characteristics of the geospatial network is an important aspect of analyzing highway traffic networks. Based on the complex network theory, this paper studies the block aggregation characteristics of the highway traffic network and proposes an Improved PageRank Spectral Clustering (IPSC) Algorithm to divide the functional blocks of highway traffic networks. Firstly, the theoretical model of a highway traffic network is constructed by adding location attribute weight, geographical distance weight, road grade weight, and dynamic traffic congestion weight. Secondly, the improved PageRank algorithm is used to get the ranking of key nodes of the highway traffic network. The clustering center and the number of clusters are determined by the ranking of key nodes and the shortest path distance. Then the improved spectral clustering algorithm is used to divide the functional blocks of the highway transportation network and identify the special common blocks of the highway transportation network. Finally, the IPSC Algorithm is used to analyze the aggregation mode of complex traffic networks at city and district scales. Crossing the limit of administrative division, the division results of special common blocks of highway transportation networks are obtained. Maintaining the connectivity between blocks can improve the overall efficiency of highway transportation networks.
