George Markousis-Mavrogenis is a Cardiology Resident at the University Hospital of Heidelberg in Germany. He carried out his Doctoral Research entitled “Principles and Applications of Cardio-Immunology in Heart Failure” at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. He is primarily interested in the field of cardio-immunology/cardio-rheumatology, as well as in the interaction of the heart with other organs in various disease settings.
