Eduardo Campos-Góngora is a National Research Professor and a specialist in microbiology, genetics, biochemistry, and the molecular biology of fungi. He has contributed to the study of DNA repair mechanisms and gene expression in the oxidative stress response using Y. lipolytica as a model organism. Leads the proteomic lab at the Research Center in Nutrition and Public Health, Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo Leon. He has done research stays in Hamburg, Germany, CINVESTAV, México, and Extremadura, Spain, for collaborative research projects.
