Antonio Apicella is a full Professor of Materials Science and Technology at the Second University of Naples, carrying out base and industrial research activities in the field of polymer and composite materials. He is also the Head of the Advanced Material Lab of the Department of Architecture and Industrial Design. Current research on new biomimetic materials is carried out at the Advanced Materials Lab of the University of Campania, Luigi Vanvitelli. His main research concerns composite materials, kinematics, robotics, mechanisms, and mechatronics. Composite number, epoxy, polymerisation, rheology, and stress are the subjects of his composite material studies.
