Morphometry is introduced as quantitative approach to seek information concerning variations and changes in the forms of organisms that described the relationship between the human body and disease. Scientists of all civilization, who existed until today, examined the human body using anthropometric methods. For these reasons, anthropometric data are used in many contexts to screen for or monitor disease. Anthropometry, a branch of morphometry, is the study of the size and shape of the components of biological forms and their variations in populations. Morphometrics can also be defined as the quantitative analysis of biological forms. The field has developed rapidly over the last two decades to the extent that we now distinguish between traditional morphometrics and the more recent geometric morphometrics. Advances in imaging technology have resulted in the protection of a greater amount of morphological information and have permitted the analysis of this information. The oldest and most commonly used of these methods is radiography. With developments in this area, CT and MRI have also been started to be used in screening of the internal organs. Morphometric measurements that are used in medicine, are widely used in the diagnosis and the follow-up and the treatment of the disease, today. In addition, in cosmetology use of these new measurements is increasing every day.

Background: Leopold maneuvers are one of the independent roles of nurses to monitor the level of intrauterine development of the fetus. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of simulated Leopold maneuver training on safe pregnancy follow-up of nursing students. Methods: A randomized controlled experimental design study used a questionnaire. The sample consisted of 4th-grade nursing students (n = 66). The study was conducted between May-June 2023. Data were collected using a form that included 18 issues The study was conducted in five steps. Participants were randomly assigned to either the experimental or control groups. Results: The study found that students in the experimental group who received training using hybrid simulation had significantly higher Leopold knowledge (EG = 12.78 ± 3.06; CG = 5.93 ± 1.17), skills (EG = 14.87 ± 2.02; CG = 8.66 ± 2.43), and correct assessment of Leopold maneuvers (EG = 3.09 ± 0.81; CG = 0.51 ± 0.61) compared to students in the control group (p < 0.001). Our study found that the Perceived Stress Scale for Nursing Students (EG = 58.96 ± 14.81; CG = 79.15 ± 15.28), Bio-Psycho-Social Response Scale for Nursing Students (EG = 21.81 ± 7.16; CG = 41.36 ± 12.41), and Stress Coping Behaviors Scale for Nursing Students (EG = 46.718 ± 5.57; CG = 37.36 ± 7.04) scores of the group that received simulated Leopold maneuvers training were significantly different from the control group (p < 0.001). Conclusion: Learning through simulation in women’s health nursing education helped students gain Leopold knowledge, skills, and accurate assessments. Simulated education decreased students’ Perceived Stress for Nursing Student, Bio-Psycho-Social Response for Nursing Students’ levels, and increased their Stress Coping Behavior for Nursing Students’ levels. Our study at the ISRCTN registry: ttps://www.isrctn.com/ISRCTN16201085. number and is stated “Retrospectively registered”.date:4 November 2024.

The discharge time of the postpartum woman is an issue related to emotional readiness and hospital policies and should be evaluated by the nurse. The feeling of readiness of the postpartum woman is the key in making the decision to discharge. The objective of the study is to evaluate the discharge readiness of puerperium and to determine the factors affecting. This study included 323 postpartum women who visited the obstetrics and gynecology outpatient clinic of the hospital between Semtember 10, 2021, and January 31, 2022, and met the inclusion criteria. Data were collected using the Personal and Obstetric Information form, The Readiness for Hospital Discharge Scale-Postpartum Mother Form(RHDS-PM). The chi-square test, Fisher's exact test, and the Fisher-Freeman-Halton test were used in the comparison of categorical data. Categorical data are presented as frequencies and percentages The mean age of the participants was 28.57±5.69 years. In our study, it was found that the mean RHDS-PMF score of the postpartum women was 154.29±31.08. A statistically significant difference was found in satisfaction with nursing care based on postpartum knowledge status (p< 0.001).Based on this study's results, the average discharge scale score of the postpartum women in the group was determined to be ready. The scale score of those who believe that they would be capable of self-care at home is higher than those who do not. Thus, the education and the self care power provided support postpartum women's satisfaction with nursing care and their readiness for discharge.
