Dr. Greg A. Kirchenbaum obtained his PhD at the University of Colorado, Denver, from the laboratory of Lawrence J. Wysocki where he studied the role of surface IgM downmodulation as a physiologically relevant peripheral tolerance mechanism for maintaining low-affinity self-reactive B cells in a functional state. Dr. Kirchenbaum then performed additional post-doctoral training in the laboratory of Ted M. Ross where he studied B cell responses to seasonal influenza in both small animal models (mice and ferrets) and human clinical samples. Subsequently, Dr. Kirchenbaum joined Cellular Technology Limited (CTL) where he currently serves as the Director of Basic B Cell Research. With the support of his fellow scientists in the Research and Development department, Dr. Kirchenbaum aims to broaden the usage of B cell ImmunoSpot® through highlighting its practical utility for performing in-depth assessment of B cell responses in both basic and translational research settings.
