Eslam El-Sawy, A, is a Research Professor of Organic Chemistry at the Chemistry of Natural Compounds Department, Pharmaceutical and Drug Industries Research Institute at the National Research Centre in Giza, Egypt. She earned her BSc in 2000, MSc in 2003, and PhD in 2005 in Organic Chemistry from the Faculty of Science, Al-Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt. She began her academic career in 2004 at the National Research Centre in Giza and currently serves as the Head of the Chemistry of Natural Compounds Department at the Pharmaceutical and Drug Industries Research Institute. Her research focuses on the synthesis of new heterocyclic compounds from natural products and the evaluation of their biological activities. She also completed a 15-month postdoctoral mission at Université de Lorraine, Metz, France.
