Rodolfo Bianchini obtained a Ph.D. degree in Clinical and Experimental Pharmacology investigating the glucocorticoid tolerogenic function on innate and adaptive immune cells. He is a senior scientist at the Interuniversity Messerli Research Institute in Vienna and his research focus on the modulation of the tolerogenic immune response immune in allergy and cancer. He participated in defining the AllergoOncology concept to better characterize similar immune response, pathway, and key actors in allergy and cancer. In the last years, he investigated the tolerogenic role of IgG4 on macrophages by specific modulation of their polarization both in allergen immunotherapy and in solid tumors.
