Lara Saftić Martinović is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Rijeka, Croatia. She received her Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from the Department of Biotechnology, University of Rijeka in 2018, specializing in qualitative and quantitative mass spectrometry techniques. She joined the Interreg project SASPAS of the University of Rijeka from 2019 to 2021. She completed her postdoc at the Department of Biotechnology (2021-2023) and the Department of Medical Biology and Genetics, Faculty of Medicine (2023-April 2025), respectively. She currently leads two new projects focused on the metabolomic profiling of follicular fluid in women undergoing medically assisted reproduction. Her research continues to explore the intersection of metabolomics and natural product chemistry.
