Biography
Dr. Silvia Matiacevich is a Biologist and Food Science Ph.D. from University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is an Associated Professor of the University of Santiago de Chile, Department of Food Science and Technology, and Principal Researcher of Food Properties Research Group. Her principal research is focused on the encapsulation of bioactive compounds from subproducts of the food industry for the design of active additives and edible films, as well as food preservation.
