I am a Microbiologist from Universidad Nacional de Trujillo, Perú, with a MSc and PhD in Biological Sciences, major in Molecular Genetics and Microbiology from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. My research focus on genetics and genomics of bacterial pathogens, especially in the molecular epidemiology of emerging pathogens, horizontal gene transfer and antibiotic resistance. I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Bacteriophages and Foodborne Pathogens Research Laboratory, lead by Dr. Andrea Moreno-Switt, at the School of Veterinary Medicine from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
