Vladislav V. Yemelyanov has a position as an Associate Professor and is currently at the Department of Genetics and Biotechnology, Faculty of Biology, St. Petersburg State University, St. Petersburg, Russia (2005–present). He was an assistant at the Department of Plant Physiology and Biochemistry, Faculty of Biology, St. Petersburg State University (1998–1999) and a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Biology and Soils, St. Petersburg State University (at the Department of Physiology and Biochemistry of Plants with work at the Preparatory Department of St. Petersburg State University) (1999–2004). His scientific interests are the physiology and genetics of plant stress; plant biotechnology; adaptation of plants to lack of oxygen; oxygen signal reception and transduction (anaerobic and oxidative signal); reactive oxygen species; antioxidant systems; metabolomics; proteomics; the reception, action and metabolism of phytohormones; the metabolism of secondary compounds in plants; the regulation of plant growth; and plant vaccines and adjuvants.
