Dr. Cinzia Auriti worked as a neonatologist at the Bambino Gesù Children's Hospital in Rome. She graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Rome (1979), where she also earned her specialization degree in Pediatrics (1983), a specialization in Neonatology (1995) and a second Level Master's degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics (2004). She has also attained degrees in Neonatology (1985) and Pediatric Pneumology (2001) from the Sapienza University of Rome. She began her professional career as Medical Doctor Manager at the Italian Ministry of Health, in the Technical Secretariat of general manager Prof. Carlo Vetere, with duties of coordination, evaluation of research projects, organization of Conferences, participation in national working groups and technical commissions for legislation(1982-1987). She then chose a hospital career as a clinician, and began as a researcher (1987-1990), then as assistant pediatrician in the Neonatal Unit at the Bambino Gesù Children's Hospital, from 1990 to July 1994, then senior medical doctor (1st Level, A-Band manager) in the Neonatal Intensive and Sub Intensive Care Units and Newborn Transportation Service. Since 2007 she has been the head of the section for prevention and treatment of neonatal infections in the Department of Medical and Surgical Neonatology of the Bambino Gesù Children's Hospital in Rome. In addition, she has been teacher of Good Health Practices, Neonatal Medical and Nursery Care
