Prof. Dr. Rumyana Lazarova is a professor at the Institute of Metal Science, Equipment and Technologies with the Hydro- and Aerodynamics Centre "Acad. Angel Balevski"—Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. She completed her PhD studies in "Metal Science and Heat Treatment" at the same institute. She recently led the following projects: "Surface modification of aluminum, and aluminum alloys with nanoparticles by means of intensity energy flows" and “Fabrication of aluminum-graphene nanocomposites by powder metallurgical method and investigation of their nano-, microstructure, mechanical and tribological properties”. Her interests include metal microstructures and processes in metal materials.
