My name is Raluca Papacocea and I am a Physiology Professor. I completed my PhD and postdoctoral studies in physiology; I am also a specialist in internal medicine and certified in QPPV-pharmacovigilance. I work as a Professsor in Physiology at Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy Bucharest, Romania. I also have 30 years of experience in research (fundamental and clinical trials). Together with medical students, I set up a space medicine lab and started intense activities (webinars, lectures, workshops at international congresses, research applications on several competitions such as NASA Hackathon). We set up collaborations with experienced colleagues in space med (Prof. Thais Russomano, Javier Montiel-NASA, Makito Yurita-JAXA) and would like to increase the relevance of our activity, build new knowledge in the space med field, and bring contributions to this domain. I have completed residency and specialty studies; I have also participated in many scholarships, observerships, and internships with international experience: Visiting professor at Oxford University; research fellowship at Erasmus University of Rotterdam, Internal Medicine; Austrian American Foundation-Salzburg; the last course was in 2022 at Space Medicine-ESA. My area of expertise is as follows: physiology; space medicine; internal medicine, alone or combined with pharmacovigilance; clinical trials; intellectual property management skills.
