Ph.D. in Tribology, University of Pisa (I), March 2002.
Since 2002, he has been a researcher on the mechanics of machine systems, and a teacher of mechatronics, dynamics of machines, mechanical vibrations, and industrial measurements. He was an associate professor (2014-2021), then a full professor (2021-current) in the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Salerno, where he has been serving as a teacher of mechanical vibrations (M.Sc. mechanical eng.) and mechatronics (B.Sc. mechanical eng.).
From 2001 through 2010, he also served as a teacher of mechanics of machine systems at Università degli Studi del Sannio, Benevento, Italy.
He has been a visiting scientist at the Technical University of Berlin (D) under a mobility program funded by DAAD - Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (2012).
Since 2019, Adolfo Senatore has served as the director of the degree programs in mechanical engineering and management engineering (BSc and MSc), as well as smart industry engineering (MSc).
