Irene Jensen´s current position is professor of corporate health and research director. She leads a research group devoted to understanding mechanisms that create good work health and work ability. The aim is to contribute to improved working conditions and environments for employers and employees, where health, well-being and productivity goes hand in hand. Facilitating this supports the development of healthy workplaces. To enable the translation of research into practice, her group works in close cooperation with partners, organized as a practice-based research network. A special area of interest is workplace interventions to prevent work-related illness and the promotion of work ability. A further interest is work-health economics, an area where the economic aspects from an employer's perspective is considered.
