The Internet of Things (IoT) and blockchain (BC) are reliable technologies widely employed in various contexts. IoT devices have a lot of potential for data sensing and recording without human intervention, but they also have processing and security issues. Due to their limited computing power, IoT devices cannot use specialized cryptographic security mechanisms. There are various challenges when using traditional cryptographic techniques to transport and store medical records securely. The general public’s health depends on having an electronic health record (EHR) system that is current. In the era of e-health and m-health, problems with integrating data from various EHRs, preserving data interoperability, and ensuring that all data access is in the patient’s hands are all obstacles to creating a dependable EHR system. If health records get into the wrong hands, they could endanger the lives of patients and their right to privacy. BC technology has become a potent tool for ensuring recorded data’s immutability, validity, and confidentiality while enabling decentralized storage. This study focuses on EHR and other types of e-healthcare, evaluating the advantages of complementary technologies and the underlying functional principles. The major BC consensus mechanisms for BC-based EHR systems are analyzed in this study. It also examines several IoT-EHR frameworks’ current infrastructures. A breakdown of BC integration’s benefits with the IoT-EHR framework is also offered. A BC-based IoT-EHR architecture has been developed to enable the automated sensing of patient records and to store and retrieve these records in a secure and reliable environment. Finally, we conduct a security study to demonstrate the security of our suggested EHR framework.
Recently, cloud computing resources have become one of the trending technologies that permit the user to manage diverse resources and a huge amount of data in the cloud. Task scheduling is considered one of the most significant challenges and ineffective management results in performance degradation. It is necessary to schedule the task effectively with maximum resource utilization and minimum execution time. Therefore, this paper proposes a novel technique for effective task scheduling with enhanced security in the cloud computing environment. A novel convolutional neural network optimized modified butterfly optimization (CNN-MBO) algorithm is proposed for scheduling the tasks, thereby maximizing the throughput and minimizing the makespan. Secondly, a modified RSA algorithm is employed to encrypt the data, thereby providing secure data transmission. Finally, our proposed approach is simulated under a cloudlet simulator and the evaluation results are analyzed to determine its performance. In addition to this, the proposed approach is compared with various other task scheduling-based approaches for various performance metrics, namely, resource utilization, response time, as well as energy consumption. The experimental results revealed that the proposed approach achieved minimum energy consumption of 180 kWh, a minimum response time of the 20 s, a minimum execution time of 0.43 s, and maximum utilization of 98% for task size 100.
Breast cancer is considered one of the major threats for women’s health all over the world. The World Health Organization (WHO) has reported that 1 in every 12 women could be subject to a breast abnormality during her lifetime. To increase survival rates, it is found that it is very effective to early detect breast cancer. Mammography-based breast cancer screening is the leading technology to achieve this aim. However, it still can not deal with patients with dense breast nor with tumor size less than 2 mm. Thermography-based breast cancer approach can address these problems. In this paper, a thermogram-based breast cancer detection approach is proposed. This approach consists of four phases: (1) Image Pre-processing using homomorphic filtering, top-hat transform and adaptive histogram equalization, (2) ROI Segmentation using binary masking and K-mean clustering, (3) feature extraction using signature boundary, and (4) classification in which two classifiers, Extreme Learning Machine (ELM) and Multilayer Perceptron (MLP), were used and compared. The proposed approach is evaluated using the public dataset, DMR-IR. Various experiment scenarios (e.g., integration between geometrical feature extraction, and textural features extraction) were designed and evaluated using different measurements (i.e., accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity). The results showed that ELM-based results were better than MLP-based ones with more than 19%.

International border security operations are diverse and include tasks to facilitate the legitimate movement of goods, thwart crime, maintain safety around borders and safeguard natural resources. All these operations are vital and enduring; however, three operations are currently of exceptional concern to countries around the world: counterterrorism, illegal drug control and illegal migration. The usage of flying ad hoc networks promises new ways for both military and civilian applications, such as border surveillance and remote sensing. Many systems were developed to assist border authorities with more effective surveillance and reliable decision-making support. Such systems vary in terms of the used technology, accuracy, types of events that can be detected and monitoring continuity. This article investigates the technical capabilities of existing and emerging surveillance technologies used for international border monitoring applications. It describes the effectiveness of these systems along with the technological infrastructure required for their implementation. Particular attention has been given to identifying the strengths and weaknesses of these systems and their ability to meet current and future challenges. Our analysis shows that flying ad hoc networks can be used to deliver a rapidly deployable, self-configurable, flexible and relatively small operating cost network for border surveillance.
Competitive intelligence in social media analytics has significantly influenced behavioral finance worldwide in recent years; it is continuously emerging with a high growth rate of unpredicted variables per week. Several surveys in this large field have proved how social media involvement has made a trackless network using machine learning techniques through web applications and Android modes using interoperability. This article proposes an improved social media sentiment analytics technique to predict the individual state of mind of social media users and the ability of users to resist profound effects. The proposed estimation function tracks the counts of the aversion and satisfaction levels of each inter- and intra-linked expression. It tracks down more than one ontologically linked activity from different social media platforms with a high average success rate of 99.71%. The accuracy of the proposed solution is 97% satisfactory, which could be effectively considered in various industrial solutions such as emo-robot building, patient analysis and activity tracking, elderly care, and so on.
