Prof. Dr. Khalid Draoui is a full professor at the Abdelmalek Essaadi University. At the same time, he is a member of the editorial board of Applied Clay Science and the director of the Materials Engineering and Sustainable Energy Laboratory, IMED-Lab. He obtained his bachelor's degree in physical sciences and his Ph.D. in materials chemistry from the Aix-Marseille University. His work focuses on their valorization for various applications, including water treatment, energy storage, construction materials, encapsulation, flame retardancy, and corrosion inhibition.. He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, mainly focused on clay minerals valorisation, and has supervised 28 successfully defended PhD theses.
