Prof. Hongshuai Qi studied marine geology at the Ocean University of China (undergraduate) from 1998 to 2002. From 2010 to 2012, he worked at the Postdoctoral Mobile Station of Marine Sciences of Xiamen University. Since 2012, he has been working at the Third Institute of Oceanography of the Ministry of Natural Resources. He is currently the director of the Marine and Coastal Geology Laboratory of the Third Institute of Oceanography, Ministry of Natural Resources. He is mainly engaged in the research of coastal and beach processes, beach maintenance, and marine ecological restoration technology.
