Biography

I mainly focus on the theoretical and experimental research of origami-inspired deployable structures. In this field, I have published over 40 SCI-indexed papers in journals such as Communications Engineering, Engineering Structures, and Thin-Walled Structures, including 24 papers as the first author or corresponding author. As the first inventor, I have been granted 4 national invention patents. I have received several prestigious awards, including the Hangai Prize from the International Association for Shell and Spatial Structures (IASS, 2021), the First Prize of Science and Technology from the China Steel Construction Society (2023, ranked 5th), and the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from the China Institute of Navigation (2023, ranked 14th). In earlier research, I established the crease topology design theory, multi-stability regulation mechanisms, and assembly design methods for origami structures, overcoming technical bottlenecks in traditional origami structures such as deployment reliability, controllability of deformation modes, and adaptability of mechanical performance. These innovations have provided groundbreaking solutions for engineering applications, including deployable spacecraft structures, intelligent metamaterials, and adaptive deployment systems.
