I am a medical doctor, researcher, and epidemiologist. I have majored in medicine, statistics, and epidemiology. As a doctor, I major in anesthesiology, and my subspecialty is anesthesia for cardiac surgery. I an on the Korean Board of Medical Examiners, the Korean Board of Anesthesiology, the Korean Board of Echocardiography, and Subspecialty in Critical Care Medicine. As a researcher, I have studied preclinical, clinical and epidemiologic research. I have a special interest in research methodology, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses. I also have a special interest in research on lipids and atherosclerosis. For preclinical research, I have investigated the incisional pain model, chronic pain model, and various adhesion models. For clinical research, I have investigated postoperative pain, postoperative nausea and vomiting, anesthetics, analgesics, and airway devices. For epidemiologic research, I have performed many systematic reviews and meta-analyses and published many articles related to research methodology.
