In the light of recent emergencies represented by climate change and global warming, with the consequent policies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, this research aims at offering a response to the need for decarbonization of anthropization processes of territories, on a building and urban scale. This study elaborates a methodology, according to an integrated qualitative-quantitative approach, which combines the strategic need for sustainable mobility with the need to enhance the value of natural and environmental interesting places, typical of the Mediterranean area and in particular the ones which represented the heart of Magna Graecia. This strategy is implemented through a growing mobility offer in recent years: sustainable cycling tourism, which is included in the wider and more widespread strategic action of greenways. However, these strategies do not often meet the interests of the public administration, which is refractory to face great costs in exchange for a hypothetical return on investment, in the long term; the result is the abandonment and degradation of territories characterized by a remarkable naturalistic, landscape and environmental value. The aim of this study, therefore, is to provide operators in the sector (public administration, Cilento National Park Authority, economic operators, etc.) with a decision-maintenance tool, through the definition of priority criteria for interventions, according to an economic sustainability approach of the intervention and adopting an integrated qualitative-quantitative methodology. The intervention, as a whole, involves a cycle path of about 600 km, passing through 70 countries of the territory. Therefore, assuming the impossibility of being carried out at the same time, as a whole, it has been divided into 23 functional lots: the methodology intends, precisely, to define the priority and necessity criteria that determine the classification of importance of the 23 routes (sub-interventions), identified in this study.

Abandoning rural areas requires promoting their repopulation. In Europe, wealth and life in these enclaves are valued. However, the current state of these houses does not meet actual needs and requires interventions to actualize current standards. Therefore, decisions in the design and execution of the works will generate a volume of construction and demolition waste (CDW), which must be managed sustainably out of respect towards its origin, the architecture, and the surrounding environment. This paper examines the prevention and management of CDW, providing control strategies and actions to monitor and plan them from the rehabilitation project itself. Some of the interventions carried out in recent years on this type of housing have been analyzed and the existing management protocols within the European Union have been reviewed, specifying their application in Mediterranean popular housing. As a result, we herein show a representative case that observes the existing reality regarding the destination of generated CDW and delves into their possibilities for use. We present these findings in order to reduce the energy cost resulting from manufacturing new materials and meeting the established sustainability and energy efficiency parameters.

ResumenCon la implementación del nuevo plan de estudios en 2012, en la Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de la Universidad de Sevilla, se introducen cambios sustanciales que afectan a la metodología docente y al aprendizaje. Este nuevo plan conlleva la inclusión de horas de aprendizaje autónomo (no presenciales) como parte del cómputo en los créditos del Sistema de Acumulación y Transferencia de Créditos Europeo (ECTS). Esta novedad implica la reducción de la docencia impartida en el aula y la necesidad de una mayor implicación del estudiante en su propio aprendizaje.En 2018, con apoyo del Departamento de Construcciones Arquitectónicas I, se pone en marcha una Web de difusión de los trabajos realizados por estudiantes que complementa la docencia impartida en el aula y reflejan el aprovechamiento de las horas no presenciales. La inclusión de esta herramienta digital en el proceso instruccional tiene los siguientes objetivos. En primer lugar, abordar las debilidades y dificultades detectadas en el aprendizaje diario en tres direcciones: revisión de conocimientos previos con los que el estudiante se enfrenta a la asignatura, consolidación de conocimientos teóricos y procedimentales esenciales en cada tema y repaso con vistas a la evaluación final. En segundo lugar, promover la implicación activa de los estudiantes en su propio aprendizaje y el de sus compañeros.Los resultados obtenidos desde la puesta en marcha de este diseño pedagógico reflejan importantes avances, dentro y fuera de la asignatura de Construcción, que confirman su utilidad e interés como herramienta para el aprendizaje. Asimismo, las calificaciones obtenidas en los grupos en los que se ha puesto en marcha esta propuesta confirman su éxito por el nivel de conocimientos con el que el estudiante supera la asignatura. En la actualidad, y a petición de los estudiantes, el proyecto continúa creciendo y reforzándose para otras asignaturas y cursos del Grado.AbstractWith the new course curriculum implementation in 2012 at the School of Architecture, substantial changes were introduced that affect the teaching methodology and the learning process. This new plan entails the inclusion of autonomous learning hours (not requiring attendance) as a part of the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) credit. This change implies a reduction in the lectures and the necessity of students’ larger implication in their learning process.In 2018, with the Department of Architectural Construction I support, a website was launched to spread the assignments done by the students that complement the lectures and reflect the use of the autonomous learning hours that are part of the ECTS. Between the years 2013–2015, members of the research group TEP 954 InFact, worked on a I + D contract awarded by the Department of Public Works of the Government of Andalusia, studying the needs for intervention in the Andalusian buildings from the 40s with the aim of ensuring “active ageing” and “at home”. The research proposes a new urban model which ensures that people can stay in their neighborhoods until the end of their days, from projects focused on standards comfort requirements, energy saving and environmental sustainability to management under socioeconomic criteria. A diagnosis of the building state of conservation and a testing of the degree of fulfillment the architectural requirements were performed according to Law 8/2013 guidelines. Regarding the urban livability, the weaknesses identified in the Building Evaluation Report (IEE) and the need to prioritize adjusted performances to socioeconomic characteristics of neighborhoods, promoted a critical review and the development of new diagnosis tools. These tools will allow make decisions that ensure the accessibility and the use of friendly spaces with elderly promoting active ageing. Among the conclusions, the clear deficiencies in the thermal behavior of the envelope, but above all accessibility of buildings, have highlighted the need for urgent intervention. In this article the results obtained in relation to the supervision of the basic safety requirements of use and accessibility, from new Inspection Sheets considered as a tool for development and improvement is exposed.
