Gelu Onose is a senior physician in physical and rehabilitation medicine (PRM), and gerontology and geriatrics (GG). He is a Ph.D./post-graduate tutor at the (State) University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Carol Davila” in Bucharest, Romania. He is head of the P(neural-muscular)RM Discipline/Clinic Division of the National Reference Centre for Neurorehabilitation and of its RDI Nucleus, and is the RDI’s (ex-) director at the Teaching Emergency Hospital “Bagdasar-Arseni”. He is president of the Romanian Society for Neurorehabilitation (RoSNeRa) affiliated with the World Federation of Neurorehabilitation (WFNR) and a Member of the WFNR Council. He is also president of the Romanian Spinal Cord Society (RoSCoS), affiliated with the International Spinal Cord Society (ISCoS) and the European Spinal Cord Injury Federation (ESCIF). Gelu Onose is a rapporteur for healthy and active aging and on chronic condition management of the Comité Permanent/Standing Committee of the European Doctors (CPME) and is the honorary ad vitam president of the Romanian Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine and Balneoclimatology(RSPRMB). He is an honorary member of the Academy of Medical Sciences, of Romania, and also Vice-President of the Romanian Medical Association.
