Giovanni Battista Rossi is a full professor of measurement and instrumentation at the University of Genoa, Genoa, Italy, and a member of the Scientific and Technical Committee of the Sea Study Center (https://mare.unige.it/). He has been Vice Representative of Italy at the General Council of the International Measurement Confederation (IMEKO, https://www.imeko.org/) and has been chairman of the Technical Committee 7, Measurement Science, of IMEKO. He recently edited a book on "Measurement for the Sea,” Springer 2022, and is currently involved in a project on “AI Devices and applications for nowcast and forecast of met-ocean conditions.”
