Dr. Muhammad Umer Farooq Awan obtained his master’s at the Government College University Lahore in 2002 and his PhD at Government College University in 2005. He served as a project manager in the Botanic Garden (botany) at Government College University from 2008 to 2010, and has been serving as an assistant professor at Government College University Lahore since 2018. His research interests include cell and molecular biology, gene regulation, heavy metals toxic, molecular microbiology, plant sciences, DNA bar coding, neurosciences, microbiology, and nanotechnology.
