Biography
Javier Menendez received his MS degree in Mining, Energy and Materials from University of Oviedo in 2005 and Ph.D in Energy Storage from University of Oviedo in 2018. He worked for 15 years at mining and energy companies. His research interest include renewable energies (biomass and biofuels, pumped-storage hydropower, solar photovoltaic, geothermal uses with mine water), underground space and energy storage systems in closed mines.
