Dr. Mateusz Pięt is an assistant professor at the Department of Virology and Immunology, Institute of Biological Sciences, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University, Poland. He completed his bachelor’s degree and MSc at Department of Virology and Immunology, Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in 2013 and 2015, respectively. In 2019, he received a PhD degree at Institute of Biological Sciences. He obtained an award and scholarship from the Minister of Science and Higher Education for his outstanding achievements (for the academic year 2014–2015). His scientific interests include cancer biology (especially mechanisms of cancer migration and metastasis), modern anti-cancer therapies, combination therapy, and tissue engineering.
