Biography

Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Beltagy received a B.Sc. (1995) in aerospace engineering, an MSc. (2000) in engineering mathematics, and a PhD (2008) in engineering mathematics. He has been promoted to associate professor (2014) and to full professor (2019) from Cairo University, Engineering Faculty, Engineering Mathematics and Physics department. He has a long experience in the development of industrial engineering software applications. He is interested in solving partial differential equations of real applications using finite-element techniques and employing parallelism to enhance the performance. He is also interested in the iterative and direct solutions of large sparse linear systems. He has contributed to the analysis of structural, fluid, and soil applications in industry and research. Prof. El-Beltagy is also interested in analyzing stochastic processes with applications in different fields. The stochastic processes with long memory and/or fractional derivatives are within the recent activities with many post-graduate students.
