Dr. Awanwee Petchkongkaew is a lecturer at the Department of Food Science and Technology, Faculty of Science and Technology at the Thammasat University (Rangsit campus), Thailand. She is one of the key researchers among not so many of them in Thailand who are driven to solve the mycotoxin contamination situation. A few regional workshops (among ASEAN countries) on mycotoxins and their degradation strategies were organized by her. Several European professors with notable reputations were invited as her keynote speakers. Her research mainly focuses on food microbiology, food biotechnology, food safety, mycotoxins (mycotoxin determination and their biological degradation techniques), and food allergens. Awanwee received several fellowships from national and international granting agencies for her research focusing on mycotoxin degradation.
