Prof. Xia Xie currently works as a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Xinjiang University, Urumqi, China. She is also the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Dean of the College of Tourism, Xinjiang University, and the Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory of the Sustainable Development of Xinjiang's Historical and Cultural Tourism, Xinjiang University. She holds a Ph.D. gained from Xinjiang University. Her research fields are tourism geography, tourism industry economy, and sustainable tourism development. She is also a member of the Tourism Geography Committee of the Chinese Geographical Society and Vice President of the Tourism Education Branch of the China Tourism Association.
