I am interested in studying activation and inactivation of STIM/Orai calcium signaling and different factors that modulate the pathway of store-operated calcium entry, such as calmodulin, oxidative stress and synthetic chemical compounds in health and disease. Modulating TRPV6 channel using chemical compounds to understand its gating mechanisms is also of my current interest. I am also interested in calcium regulation of the function of solute carrier family transporters.
