Doctor of Pharmacy and specialist in Laboratory Medicine at Santa Lucía University Hospital, Cartagena, Spain. He is Professor of Histology, Pathology, and Clinical Analysis at the San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM), Spain. He is leading the group on Molecular Pathology and Pharmacogenetics at the Institute for Biomedical Research from Murcia (IMIB), Spain. His current research interests are the molecular characterization of histological variants of colorectal cancer, the design of drugs targeting tumor cell invasion and metastasis, the role colon microbiota in cancer, and the pharmacogenetics of monoclonal antibodies in autoimmune and neoplastic diseases.
