Prof. Vladimir M. Pisarev, MD/PhD/DSci, head of laboratory, Federal Research and Clinical Center for Critical Care Medicine and Rehabilitology, Moscow, Russia, since 2012. Scientific interests and achievements include exploration of mechanisms of immunoregulation in the areas of cancer and infection immunology in critical illness. When conducting studies at UNMC, USA (1998-2009) contributed to peptide and genetic vaccines development and clarification of the molecular mechanisms of myeloid-derived suppressor cells action.
