Prof. Dr. Deok Ryong Kim has been a Research Fellow at the GNU Institute of Medical Science, Gyeongsang National University College of Medicine (Jinju, Republic of Korea) since 2000. He received his Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center (Denver) in 1995. He served as a Postdoc researcher at the Harvard Medical School (Boston) from 1996 to 1999. As a Korean medical educator, his achievements include research in DNA damage response. Prof. Dr. Kim is a member of the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and has been listed as a noteworthy medical educator by Marquis Who’s Who. His main research areas include Autophagy, Gene Expression, Oxidative Stress, cell death, and gene expression analysis.
