Bonifacio Martin-del-Brio received his PhD degree (with Honours) in 1994. Currently, he is an Associate Professor of Electronics Engineering at the University of Zaragoza (Spain). His research interests include smart sensors, artificial neural networks, and machine learning. He has written two textbooks (on microprocessors and artificial neural networks), more than 100 publications in journals and congresses, and has two patents. He has participated and led several European, nationally and regionally funded projects, and has collaborated with companies such as Intel, Bosch-Siemens Home Appliances, ENDESA, and SICE. He has been a visiting researcher in institutions in Madrid (Spain) and Malmö (Sweden).
