Nowadays, when there is much concern about the demographic decline of Europe and the stringent need for public policies that support intelligent, sustainable, and inclusive growth in times of population ageing, this study aims to validate several hypotheses regarding the post-graduation migration intentions of students in economics. To analyse these intentions in the context of Romanian yearly increases of out-migration flows to Western countries, the answers to the questionnaire used for this study were obtained from three important Romanian universities. Using georeferencing, neural networks-based data mining, and two types of regression analysis, the results represent a relevant contribution to the limited body of literature. They empirically show that motivations and attitudes towards a meritocratic environment for professional advancement, and individual freedom are positive key factors for students’ migration intentions after graduation. In addition, the paper emphasises the secondary role of religiosity and intergenerational transfer of parental migration experience. It also finds that, although the income level has some influence on these intentions, its role is far less important than the one emphasised in the specific literature, which leads us to the conclusion that non-economic motivations matter more than the economic ones for the potential decision to migrate after graduation.

If the concept of sustainability and sustainable development has been used for over 50 years, its use in the financial world is more recent. Today, companies and investors focus on ESG that stands for Environmental Social Governance. Capital markets can be a powerful tool for creating change. By restricting access to capital, companies are stimulated to improve their performance under measures Environmental, Social or Governance. Rewarding companies and managers that perform well on ESG factors encourages continuous progress and improvement. But in order to do that, it is necessary for companies and stakeholders to have at their disposal standards and indexes that measure the performance of companies in the ESG field and ensure comparability.

The aim of this paper is to analyze the causal relationship between inflation and global supply chain pressure in the Eurozone. In contrast to the full-sample causality method, this paper utilizes the bootstrap subsample rolling window causality method to account for structural changes. Initially, the computed vector autoregressive models demonstrate that the short-term relationship between inflation and global supply chain pressure is unstable. The dynamic causal relationship is reexamined in the subsample rolling window causality test using a time-varying method (RB bootstrap-based modified-LR causality test). The results indicate that inflation is influenced by the expansion of global supply chain pressure in a variety of sub-periods, with both positive and negative effects. Conversely, inflation fluctuations increase the uncertainty of the Global Supply Chain Pressure Index. The novelty of the findings is that they illustrate bidirectional causal relationships between the two variables, which is in contrast to the existing body of empirical research that does not support the direction of causality. The implications of these findings emphasize the need to implement appropriate monetary policy measures in order to mitigate the inflationary consequences of disruptions in the global supply chain and to ensure a more stable supply chain network.

We all as individuals have responsibility for any decisions, in terms of time, value and risk. In time, the system in which we are evolving requires different behaviors that are in alignment with our interests, as individuals, as organizations or as institutions. The paper brings into attention the concept of financial responsibility manifested in financial – banking environment, as a concept and as a species of financial education (or literacy). The main aim of this article is to evaluate the awareness, the manifestation and the importance of financial responsibility in Romania. The primary results reveal the fact that financial responsibility can improve the positive effects on individual’s welfare, and also the good impact that the financial system has on market economy. Moreover, here it is also evaluating the impact of financial education on the financial responsibility manifestation, as well as the theoretical interdependence ratio between those two terms – financial responsibility and financial education/literacy. Keywords: financial – banking responsibility, moral hazard, financial education.
