LUIS J. CAMACHO received a B.B.A. with a concentration in Hotel Management from Universidad Católica de Santo Domingo (1991), an M.S. in Marketing from Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (1998), and a Doctorate in Education from Nova Southeastern University (2016). He is a professor of marketing and international business at Empire State University (SUNY Empire), President of the Academy of Latin American Business and Sustainability Studies (ALBUS), and Editor-in-Chief of the Latin American Business and Sustainability Review (LABSREVIEW). His research examines consumer identity (xenocentrism, ethnocentrism, cosmopolitanism) and country-of-origin effects; ESG and corporate citizenship; sustainable consumption and energy-saving behaviors; and tourism and purchase intention in emerging markets. He has published in journals such as Sustainability, Journal of Risk and Financial Management, and Administrative Sciences. Methodologically, he employs survey design and SEM/PLS-SEM in cross-national projects across the Caribbean, Central America, and Asia.
