Prof. Moo-Ho Won is Senior Researcher and Advisor of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the School of Medicine, Kangwon National University. He earned his DVM from the College of Veterinary Medicine, Seoul National University in 1981, and completed his Ph.D. at the same institution in 1991. He also conducted postdoctoral research at the Laboratory Animal Center, Nagoya University. He had been a neuroanatomist in Hallym Medical School and Kangwon Medical School and retired in 2023. His research interests include neuronal damage and protection in the ischemic brain, endogenous neurogenesis during normal aging or brain injury, morphological changes of neurosubstances in the aging brain, and the development of medicines for neuroprotection, neurogenesis, and anti-aging in the central nervous system.
