Irma Esther Dávila-Rangel is currently on a postdoctoral stay in Mexico at the Universidad Interserrana del Estado de Puebla Ahuacatlán (UIEPA). She is a member of the National System of Researchers of Mexico.  She completed her PhD studies in protected agriculture at the Universidad Autónoma Agraria Antonio Narro in 2020. She does research mainly focused on the extraction of phytohormones in microalgae, biofortification of horticultural crops with iodine and iodine-chitosan and study of bioactive compounds and exploration of antioxidant and antimicrobial properties of medicinal plants. She has work experience in the pharmaceutical industry, agribusiness, and health sector in research and development areas. She has scientific publications.
